Accreditation
Imperial College London accredited as an Assayer
Imperial College London has been accredited to assay Engagements against the IDEA Methodology, under the cipher ICL.
The Foundation has accredited Imperial College London as an Accredited Assayer, authorised to test Engagements against the IDEA Methodology and to certify the result. Imperial holds the cipher ICL, which forms the final segment of the identifier of every Engagement it certifies and appears in the Assayer position of the Hallmark.
Accreditation is held against the published Accreditation Standard and is subject to audit. An Accredited Assayer may not certify work in which it holds a commercial interest; the conflict rules are a condition of accreditation, not a matter of discretion.
Imperial joins the Oxford Internet Institute, the Alan Turing Institute, and Saïd Business School on the roll of Accredited Assayers. The Foundation does not itself assay Engagements; assay is performed by independent bodies, and the Foundation stewards the standard and the Register.
