A record of your work that follows you
A Practitioner is an individual who does AI implementation work and stands behind it. Practitioners register a personal mark with the Foundation; that mark appears in the Hallmark of every engagement they build that passes independent assessment, and builds over a career into a record anyone can check.

What a registered mark gives you
- Attributable
- Each Hallmarked engagement names the Practitioners who built it, by their registered mark — not just the firm that billed for it.
- Portable
- The record belongs to the mark, not to an employer or platform. Change jobs and your Hallmarked work stays on the Register under your mark.
- Checkable
- Anyone can look up an engagement on the public Register and see your mark, the standard, the Assayer and the date.
Registration identifies you; it does not certify any project. Only an engagement that passes an independent assessment is Hallmarked, and only then does your mark appear on the Register.
What registration gives you
The mark, the record and the standing
Registration gives you three things. The first is the mark itself: a personal cartouche, one shape with one or two initials, that is yours. The second is the public record. Every engagement you build that passes an independent assessment carries your mark and is entered on the Register, where anyone can read, cite and check it. The third is standing: a Practitioner is a named participant, not an anonymous resource billed by the hour.
The record is the point. A consultancy can describe its experience; a Practitioner can show it, engagement by engagement, each one independently assessed and permanently attributable. The mark does not lapse when you change employer or platform. It follows the work, and the work follows you.

What is asked in return
An undertaking, not a subscription
A Practitioner agrees to a standard of work and to a short set of conduct rules; the mark is the visible sign of that agreement. Work you put forward for assessment is built to be tested: specified against measurable criteria, implemented on fit data with governance in place, and capable of being verified independently against the published standard.
The conduct rules are few. A Practitioner does not misrepresent the scope of a Hallmark, does not claim certification that has not been granted, and does not attach the mark to work they do not stand behind. A mark may be suspended or withdrawn where those undertakings are broken; because the Register is permanent, a withdrawal is itself a matter of record.
